Hafeet Mountain ( Jabel Hafeet )

I really insist to recommend any UAE visitor or resident to go and see Jebel Hafeet Mountain. In addition to the marvelous view, I always enjoyed to have some fun driving time in Jabal Hafeet Road which is truly one of the greatest driving road in the world. It is stretching for 7.3 miles and climbing nearly 4,000 feet; it boasts 60 corners and a surface so smooth that it would flatter a racetrack. Its really a wonderful road!

The mountain stands as a guard over the city of Al Ain. It is 1,340 meters high, the highest mountain in the UAE. A 13 km winding road leads to the top and on a clear day there are splendid views across the desert and the city. It looks down upon a dusty, desert landscape that belies a nation of astonishing wealth. It actually straddles part of the border with Oman. Jebel Hafeet was a well-known landmark throughout the area's history and is a contemporary tourist attraction.
