Arabic Language is very easy to learn. I think it’s even easier than learning English as you write what you spell. Approximately 200 million people speak Arabic and the language is an official United Nations one.

In my country Arabic is our both official and public language. Almost all official documents and forms in the UAE are in Arabic, as well as all the laws and decrees; hence, I think it is very likely to you to have knowledge of Arabic for your own advantage.

If you are a resident in UAE or just a visitor, some keywords, phrases and expressions of Arabic will be a great hand of help to you whether in business, friendly conversations or aid requests from Arabic residents here.

Arabic language can be broadly split into standard Arabic and colloquial dialects. My UAE colloquial dialect is somehow hard to be fully understood even by other Arabs out of the gulf area; however, with the emergence of the Gulf States as the regional economic centers in recent years, my dialect has also gained popularity. Dialects such as Egyptian and Levantine are also probably the most commonly understood in the Arab world Because of the role of Egypt and the Levant as the long-time centers of Arab culture.

Learn Arabic!

Learning Arabic depends on “WHY” you want to learn it. Your purpose and areas of interest determine what type of Arabic you need to learn and to what level. Politics, Businessmen, lawyers and journalists who are interested in the Arab World will need to learn the standard Arabic language while others like cultural scholars and travelers might need to learn the dialect of the country they are in.
